Media for Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit powering the future of film and media in the Lone Star State. Through workforce training, community building, and statewide advocacy, we’re developing a thriving ecosystem where stories and media are made in Texas – by Texans – and shared with the world.

We were born out of advocacy. In 2025, we helped unlock $1.5 Billion in media funding to secure the Texan voice and propel our state forward. But that was just Phase One. Now, we’re bolstering the crew base, community, and infrastructure to ensure those incentives translate into real, long-term impact.

In 2023, we saw a need to advocate for the future of our industry and jumped into action, a journey which many of you followed. In June 2025, our state leaders passed a monumental media production bill that brings jobs and business back to the Lone Star State. And that was just the beginning.
